No, I'm afraid that it ONE example in 100,000's of posts, and it happened under a reward system that is no longer in effect, when Steemit first went operational... it really has zero bearing on what people "can" earn here.
Anyway. welcome to Steemit! If you post good quality content and become an active part of the community, you can earn from your posts... but mostly, it's less than $5.00.
