What If....Food for Thought (my sketches)
You lay there struggling to finish off that bottle of booze, because life hit you like a freight train. You've no desire to go on, so you reach for the bottle, knocking it over, as you pass out.
You wake the next day feeling the results, but none the less, alive and wondering what the hell you were thinking.
Next time you struggle harder, you resort to pills.
You wake the next day refreshed because all you ended up with was a good nights sleep (which was probably all you needed).
Life was never promised to be easy.
Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse, it did. Someone threw you a major curveball and you would rather take your own suffering away, to end what you were enduring.
All of a sudden, an overwhelming relief was lifted off your shoulder, as you hear a voice whisper, "everything will be ok, it is not your time to go yet".
You put down the gun and decide to change the part of your life that is pulling you down. You look out towards the sunset, and then and there, you realize there is something out there, meant for you to seek out, and find.

Your life did get better, and things are still improving. You see a new future ahead of you. But what if one of those attempts, so many months or years ago, had gone through? Would you try any of them again, and make sure they happened? Or would you notice those signs from those close to you, if someone is at the end of their rope with life? I know I watch for key signs.
My sketches were a bit off the wall for me. But since I drew them, they work well with this post. Please, talk to those who you know are struggling. Suicide is no joke, and happens way too much, especially with young people.

It can help to really listen to people all the time. We're social animals and we need to feel a connection with other people.
Your story is helpful because things can turn around for the better. If we find someone in the situation of the person in your story, maybe we can give them hope to carry on. Nice sketches too!
I agree, and there are usually key signs, (in most suicide cases), to warn us of something going in a downward spiral. I personally know of a few who were at that breaking point. One turn their life around, while the other is having mixed emotions (but has finally got the right support). I hope others read this post and pass on the awareness, or give themselves some sort of hope to hold on to.
awesome post
