🐳 Whaleshares Announcement : TestNet2 is Live! [ 1 Step Closer to Launch ]

For those of you with active accounts on the new Whaleshares Platform TestNet we are happy to announce the release of TestNet2. All of the witnesses are going through the update process today to ensure a smooth transition. I completed my update earlier this morning and my node is actively producing blocks on TestNet2 .

This release brings us 1 GIANT STEP closer to our MainNet launch! It is also important to note that the official Whitepaper is just about ready for release as well.

What does this mean for our BETA Testers?

You will not "see" the majority of the changes that were made for this release, but a the coding behind the platform, the code that governs the reward structure and blockchain setup itself has had a major update.

The new Whaleshares chain will not have a secondary 'pegged asset' like SBD as we have on Steemit. That was disabled but still dormant in the code. Items like that, as well as other unneeded functions and processes, have been changed or removed to prepare the platform for launch. This will also set the stage for its future evolution from a voting-based blog platform to a true sharing-based community platform.

What you will see...

At this stage will also notice the majority of the account stats have been reset. This includes past post payouts, people you follow, account rep, and witness votes. You will need to take the time to reconnect with the people you want to follow and re-cast your vote for witnesses like myself.

This will be done one more time once we move to the MainNet and open the platform to new users during the pre-launch period.
