Blame global warming. :(

But you know what I do find really damn annoying about you?

The fact that you run around with your super delegation which enables you to self-vote yourself free money every day with every post, and then you have the gall to actually say to people like me: "Oh, don't be so negative!"

Well, gee, I wonder what makes you so positive and optimistic. It couldn't be the fact that you were delegated a free money printer in the form of whale level SP.

Try fucking speaking your mind and having the entire platform turn against you and still keep struggling for votes even after two years, and then be optimistic.

Don't tell people like me to be more optimistic. It's fucking easy for you to say.

If someone delegates me 300,000 SP that I can use for self-voting, yeah, I'm gonna be a lot more optimistic.

I do speak my mind quite often and I'm far from being optimistic about the platform and its current course it is taking. Its true that I don't do it often on the blockchain so some people might not be aware of it, but there's quite a lot to be pissed about lately like delegations to bots for max ROI and curation barely existing which proves how barely anyone noticed that guys problem yesterday.

I've sacrificed a lot of rewards to keep @ocd going and the self-voting is barely to compete vs. everyone else that's maxing ROI to leech as much off the platform as possible and in the end dump it for fiat or another competitor. That's also a reason I'm a lot more careful on who I vote lately as I want to improve the decentralization when there are barely 1000 accounts above 1k SP. I'm already risking a lot by not powering down my stake, I don't want constant vote-traders to be the ones to have the most influence in the future on the platform as that wouldn't make things much better than they are today.

OCD was even on a break last week and I promised myself to self-vote a lot more to catch up to everyone but couldn't consciously stoop down to their level.

In general I'm still quite positive about the future potential of the currency and that has been as much true pre-delegation as it is now.

A lot of that is fair.

And I don't mind you as a person. I actually think your heart is in the right place. Just based on stuff I've read from you.

But my point was that the experience of using this platform is a lot different for someone like than it is for someone like me.

After two years, I'm still playing the "I hope someone sees this, I hope someone gives a damn" game after every single post.

If you sit on top of the ivory tower for long enough, you can lose track of that world entirely.

That's why it irks me when people in your position come and tell me to be more positive because there's very little to be positive about. Especially since I know for a pretty certain fact that I'm muted by quite a few significant stakeholders, so it never matters what I do. Ever.

It's not you as a person, just the attitude.

I know for a fact that you're far from the abusive assholes that are running rampant.

I'm still playing the "I hope someone sees this, I hope someone gives a damn" game after every single post.

Yep, that's curation for you and its shrinking daily, hence why there is so much talk about changing the way it works if you've read posts by @trafalgar, @kevinwong, @blocktrades and many others. Sure it would help your visibility if you had remained powered up but I know you were not in a position to be able to and the added negativity which for the most part was legit may have turned people to mute you for petty reasons.

It's kind of a mess, I'd suggest seeing what communities or SMT's have to offer before giving up. I'm hoping all the focus on making sure the backend will be ready to adopt millions of users and activity will be worth it in the end and that it won't take too long to fix the rest of the problems with lack of UI and other things.

For what it's worth I'm still following you. Something I think would help in your case would be to try and connect with other Steemians that share your interests in posts and views and haven't sold out to bid bots. Might give you a bit of a healthy curation between eachother.

I noticed you only follow a few members, try having a broader Feed and see if that makes the platform more enjoyable if you have the time or will to want to curate and interact with more people.

Also, I powered down because I noticed that no matter what I do, I'm not one of the golden boys and I'm never going anywhere on the platform.

With support, of course I wouldn't power down. Why would I.

Anyways, I'm following the STEEM price ATM, and if it gets low enough, I may dish out some BTC to buy some and power up and start flagging some people.

i just want to give you both a big ole ((HUG.))

xo, b.

I do. I swear, I'm killing myself one of these days.
