South Street Seaport
A little while back early one morning I did a visit to South Street Seaport before going to the office for the day, its a real nice place to visit, has a nice vibe of the Brooklyn bridge, but also these cool old ships which I will focus on for this post
Nothing was open when I visited in the morning, but it has plenty of options of things to do if you visit there such as;
Exhibitions and Historic Ship tours
you can sail the NY Harbor on a historic Schooner
See Old ships including the
The Wavetree which is the flagship of the Seaport Fleet and is 130+ years old and was refurbished not to long ago at a cost of 13 Million Dollars
The 1907 Lightship Ambrose as well as Schooners Pioneer and Lettie G Howard, plus a steam powered Wooden Tug
There are walking tours and some cool boutique shops so all in all a cool place to stop by if visiting NYC.
