Blondie Street art
This post may show my age

The facade of Saxon + Parole has been turned into a shrine to Blondie by graffiti artist Shepard Fairey. I understand this was painted back in August of this year and Debbie Harry and Chris Stein both have been to see it and posed with the artist at one stage
Now I know many of the people who see this post may have never heard of Debbie Harry or Blondie so let me give you some info on the band
Blondie was an American rock band founded by singer Debbie Harry and Guitarist Chris Stein, the band was a pioneer in the mid to late 1970s with mix of new wave and punk style.
Blondies first two albums did well in the UK and Australia but they stayed pretty much an underground band till they released Parallel Lines in 1978 when over the next 3 years that had several hit singles including my favorite of Blondie heart of Glass and other great songs Call Me, Rapture and The Tide is High these songs became popular and were an interesting mix of disco, pop, Reggae and early Rap
Here is a video of the Song I remember the best from Blondie, which I am Listening to now as I finish off this post

Very clean and informative post, especially for the younger ones who do not know the music of the 70s and 80s. Heart of Glass is my favorite too, Call Me, also. The beautiful artwork, in the style of the 70s, more a poster! Your photo plays very well that time, also I like very much posts with video - music.
THnaks for such a thoughtful and interesting comment really appreciate your visit and support
I should add music to my post more often, often editing a photo may lead me off in one tangent ot another of music to listen to while editing but when I come to sharing themmI often forget to add it
I'm glad you appreciated my comment. It is sincere! I also love music and like to listen every moment I can. Inserting music in our posts is more for ourselves, the people don't have time to listen...I think.
I am not a big music expert in any way, my taste is music can swing all over the place from one genre to another depending on my mood or even on what sort of photo I am editing
And whether its music or a TV running
Is not good to be an expert, you will lose the joy of music! I also listen all kind and I'm happy.
I do agree, its nice to just appreciate it for what it is and not try and be an expert I think
Congratulations, Your Post Has Been Added To The Steemit Worldmap!

It's not my best post but I wanted to get that out there because the connections are interesting imho.
One of few few vinyl singles I kept!
I lost all my singkes
How annoying I lost many year ago left them at uni. I get albums now, they gone up so much now though/
After loosing a big bunch of them I pretty much went digital
Yer I gone back the other way now love the quality of vinyl :)
Making me think of getting back into vinyl again now
You should although its a bit more pricy now but well worth it I think. I get a lot from charity shops and car boots :)
I must try to check cat boot or garage sales out next season
Well done... Vote me
She was born in 1945 and is still singing today at what? 72? More power to her! She was an icon in her day. I only remember her early days because they made a big deal that she was a playboy bunny in New Jersey in the 70's and I specifically remember her because she used to come in announce and unannounced to the little bars and pubs around Yale University in New Haven in the very early 80's and just belt out the songs.
Everybody was either an underaged Highschooler or barely legal college freshman. :)
Very cool fascade and really pretty lady who had a lot of bad breaks in life and made the best of them.
Upped and steemed
Thanks kindly my friend
For all the knocks she had she sure has done well
Hope your weekend has gone well
