Shadow of the Colossus will have 60 fps mode on PS4 Pro

A few hours ago, Sony shared a new preview of Shadow of the Colossus in which we saw that it is a remake that looks amazing. That said, everything seems that the dumbbell between Bluepoint and SIE Japan Studio not only got to present improvements in the graphics, but also in performance, since you have the option to run at a rate of 60 frames per second in PlayStation 4 Pro.

Previously, Sony had indicated that Shadow of the Colossus will run at 1080p and 30 fps on PlayStation 4, while owners of PlayStation 4 Pro can play it with the same frame rate but with 4K resolution. That said, Polygon reports that a document on the PlayStation press site indicates that those who play it on PS4 Pro will also have the option of playing it at 1080p and a rate of 60 frames per second.

While many will fall in love with the idea of ​​playing Shadow of the Colossus in 4K, the 60 fps mode will be ideal for all those who have a PlayStation 4 Pro but have not yet acquired a 4K TV. Super hyped for this. I played SOTC recently, and after being a PC gamer for a couple years now, the framerate on the original is pretty ass, and so is the input latency. Still a great game, and beautiful for it's time, but I'm glad it's getting an upgrade!
