These are securities issued by the borrowers of fund to the lenders of such fund in acknowledgement I of such borrowing. Instruments issued can be variously described according to the tenor of the underling debt. While short term borrowingare usually acknowledge by money market instruments such as Nigerian treasury bills, treasury certificate, commercial papers and banking acceptance, the long term or capital market instruments are in form of share certificate and debenture stock certificate
