Poem: Cancer
We fight for better days,
And hope that we have lost,
We fight with blood,
Cus we were told that’s what it costs.
Slow yourself down,
You look so lost,
You’ve come around,
But images cropped,
You’re no more in the center,
Dwindling sideways you subside,
Your knees shiver,
As death meets you eye to eye.
Hope is lost and time has gone,
What have you acieved?
Are worried for what might be next,
Or do you feel relieved?
