I found Decisive by Chip & Dan Heath to be a very good book regarding choices. For instance they show the shortcomings of the Pro's/Con's method, used also by Benjamin Franklin. They show several methods how to get more valuable information and how important it is. Lots of examples too. I highly suggest reading it.
