This is great man!
Really visually described the submerge into a sea of spirits, keeping away of disease. I really loved that part, It got me thinking that the dark side sometimes pulls us but we need to keep drowning ourselves in a sea of spirits - as you called it, away from the darkness...
It's very twisted, because the act of drowning oneself is dark; and therefore, using an act of darkness to ease the darkness - a vicious cycle.
Yes, one of the reasons I like this... ;))
