Welcome @skumer3821 - make sure you create an introductory post talking about yourself, where you live, hobbies, interests, etc. Use the tags: introduceyourself and introducemyself - place any photo of yourself if you like. Even better, take one of you holding a sign saying 'STEEMIT' with the date and your username. If you can do that it helps and add the tag verified. This is the best and fastest way to accumulate followers quickly as a new user.
