I really think that a general Welcome category could be terrific, and actually perhaps the developers could make it 'sticky' at the top of the category choices. There are already a few Welcome threads in the steem category I think they get 'lost' among all the other great content here on Steemit.

Oh, and how did I forget?? I am gardenlady from the great Garden State! I hope everyone will take a few moments to catch up on all things gardening in the gardening category! Lots of good info, advice, photos, and more! (shameless plug for me and summersolstice and others!!)
