How to immigrate to Australia
To emigrate to Australia there are four simple requirements.
- Less than 50 years;
- A reasonable level of English;
- Qualifications and work experience related to any of the occupations in demand in Australia; and
- Pass a points test for the visa.
Simple!
You can apply for a visa based on your current qualification, or apply after studying in Australia for 2 years based on the degree obtained in Australia. You could apply for the visa directly from your country if your qualification and work experience fit directly with any of the official definitions of the occupations in demand.
If you can not apply for a visa directly, you can always study for 2 years in Australia and apply for a visa at the end of the course. If you study a grade level course, you can apply for a two-year work visa after graduation. This would allow you to live and work in Australia for a total of four years, including two years of study and two years with a full-time work permit.
In some cases you could even study in Australia for 6 months and apply for a permanent visa without leaving Australia for the ACT Plan.
Incredible interest in the ACT Plan (Canberra)
There are many companies are promoting the migration policy of the local government of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), the city of Canberra. The interest that the ACT Plan has aroused is amazing because it allows you to live and study in Canberra for 6 months and apply for permanent residency in Australia.
If you have a degree but your occupation is not in demand on the federal list or a state list, or you have to improve your level of English, you could migrate under the ACT Plan.
To apply for the ACT Plan you should have a degree and work experience in an occupation that is on the Consolidated List of Occupations (CSOL), study with a student visa in Canberra for 12 months, and work part-time while studying.
With a student visa, you can work up to 20 hours a week during the semester of classes and full time during the holidays. If you have a partner and you sign up for a Master's degree, your partner can work full time throughout the study period. This represents an opportunity to get a full-time work visa for your partner while you are studying.
Canberra has three educational institutions of international level: The University of Canberra, the Technological Institute of Canberra and the National University of Canberra (ANU). The ANU is one of the most prestigious universities in the world and the number one in Australia. All these institutions offer a wide variety of courses, from English courses to short-term technical courses, from general interest courses for undergraduate, graduate and doctorate courses.
The ACT Plan opens the door to the largest group of professions ever seen in the Skilled Visa program. It means a direct path to permanent residence for those who, otherwise, could not apply for a visa. If your occupation was not on the list of professions in demand or need to spend time in an English-speaking country to improve your English, we invite you to contact with etaaustraliaonline.com and make us a consultation on the ACT Plan.
