Your Mind is Affecting Your Weight Loss
Many people believe their mindset while attempting to lose weight will not and cannot affect their end results. When in reality it tends to be the anchor that's weighing them down.
Don't put yourself down: We are all human and humans tend to slip up or make mistakes. Say you decide to indulge in a "Cheat Meal" most people will judge or punish oneself with negative thoughts or actions. For example, depriving themselves of food and/or over exercising to "fix" their "mistake". Also, mentally punishing themselves with harsh thoughts of "you can't do this" or "your so weak willed". These are very unhealthy ways of trying to compensate for their actions.
Bring Yourself Up: If you Had a cheat meal or ended up having a cheat day; don't dwell on the calories you have consumed! Maybe you had a little to much to eat or drink and in your mind your envisioning the scale; STOP! Enjoy the time you had and move on. The only thing you need to think of is making tomorrow a mentally and physically healthy day. Eat right, exercise right, and tell yourself you can achieve your goals one day at a time.
Too true. It may be helpful to set aside a day for a cheat meal so that instead of thinking it as a mistake you can think of it as a reward and something to work toward and look forward too.
Fitness should become a part of yourself and not a chore. Keep it fun and easy and enjoy your meals sometimes :)
