The Animal Kingdom : Day 220: 5 Minute Freewrite

"Mice, no mice is here mum and I hate seeing it"
Mike has a "miceophobia" or whatever the name is called, it was last christmas they came home all the way from UK.

Glad seeing grandma and grandpa, Mike played with my mum grey hair and she wondered how her hair has turned grey and is pulling out by the day, a grey hair so full of experience.

Things went well for the first week till we heard a loud noise from Mike's room, in panic and completely frozen we met him staring at a corner of the room, gentle and slimy is a snake 🐍,
"Oh no" I hissed.
"You could have killed it yourself" grandma shouted back at him
Don't you have snakes where you come from ? The absense of a mice should have give you an impression that there are guard snakes here, grandpa explained better.
Mike wouldn't have any of all that was said but complained to his mum he wants to go back home.

Mike's dad decide to take it on himself by lecturing him on the animal kingdom ecosystem, the food chain, the prey, predator, victim and the king of the jungle.

The presence of a cat shows no rat.
With a snake comes no mice.
Patrolling chicken kills all cockroaches.
Monkey in the farm,
no banana harvest for the farmer.
Pigs use there nose to uproot cassava.
Grasscutter, the farm destroying rodent..

Mike listened attentively at it all till he fell asleep staring at the moonlight.
Inside this Africa comes an ancient wisdom, he thought as he closed his eyes.
