3 Tips for visiting Amsterdam
A lot of people visit Amsterdam. The capital city of the Netherlands. Here I have 3 tips for visiting Amsterdam! More tips are following!
Tip 1 weed:
Weed! A lot of tourists go to Amsterdam for the weed. The smoke the hole day long 😉. But wat they not know is that weed still is illegal in the Netherlands. You may only use it in the coffee shops. When you do take the stuff with you, remember if you have more than 5 grams you will be arrested! Below the 5 grams you will lose the weed and get a warning!
Tip 2 Police:
The police in the Netherlands are very tolerant. As long you don't commit a crime you can talk to a police officer. The will help you with information about the place you visiting. If you did commit a crime, comply with the police. If you don't, they will use violence. The fines in the Netherlands are high! Keep that in mind. A small list of the fines:
1: Pissing on the streets €140,00
2: Drunk on the streets €90,00
3: Crossing red light €230,00
4: Driving with your phone in your hands €230,00
5: No passport with you €360,00
Tip 3 food!
Food that you have to try on you visit to the Netherlands! Try "haring" it is a Dutch tradition to rest this. It is a raw fish whit onions on it! Also we heve a lot of Licorise! We call it drop! We love it! We have small and large one, sweet and salty one! But watch out! It's not so good for your blood pressure! The third food is stroopwafels, it are waffles with syrup between them. They are very nice!

hehe I remember being made fun of when I thought 'coffee shops' in Amsterdam referred to coffee houses and totally skewed a conversation. Did you forget fries and poffertjes? :)
coffee is not the most selled item in the Dutch coffee shop 😉. No I didn't forget them. Maybe in the next blog but there are over a hundred Dutch food items that we can discuss.
