I consume both regularly, it depends on what I'm doing.
I'm not going to smoke weed before going out for the night, I'll smash a few beers and then move on to Gin & Tonics.
If I am staying in, then I will still smash a couple of beers, then move to my weed pipe and some some pure Indica and watch something on TV before passing out.
