Wednesday Walk - Going to Check out my Spring Flowers !!
Hi everyone here we are for another beautiful #wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay and today i am going for a walk to one of my favorite parks in Bangkok city called Lumpini Park.
Lumphini Park is of the biggest parks in the heart of Bangkok city it offers a area of 360 rai or 142 acres to the public for all sorts of activities the park has many beautiful trees, many types of flowers , playgrounds and a man made lake that you can also hire paddle boats and go sight seeing.
Paths around the park total to approximately 2.5 km in length and is a very popular area for morning and evening joggers and bicycle riders.
This park is always full of life whether it be with joggers in the morning or evening , bicycle riders or just people walking around but i do find that mid-day to about 3pm is the best time to be in this park it's not as crowded and you can enjoy the peacefulness a little bit more.
Even the stray cats and the pigeons enjoy that time of the day more.
My main reason for coming for a walk to this park today is because this time of the year even though it's hot all year around we do get a cooler change in the month of November and December so in about mid January till end of March it's like spring here in Thailand and beautiful flowers start blooming every where around the country.
It's honestly a joy to be walking around this huge park just smelling all these beautiful flowers with the sun shining down and the blue skies it's just magic.

And apart from all the beautiful flowers to been seen there is even some fruit trees growing around the park that you can help yourself to them if you like but mainly the birds will come in and have a feed of there fruit trees.
Another stray cat enjoying the spring sun.
This is one of my favorite trees in this park the Skeleton Banyna Tree truly a Halloween tree.
I love the way they decorated this Banyna tree with a plant sitting and growing in between the split trunk.
And you got to have a coconut tree to remind you that you are in the tropics.
And i can never leave the park without going over to say hello to my friendly Monitor Lizards and is a big reason a lot of visitors from overseas come to this park to view these wonderful Monitor Lizards that just roam around this park freely.
This one has caught itself a large fish and is having a feast.
So my #wednesdaywalk walk was a very enjoyable day i hope you all had a wonderful one also....Cheers :)
Thank you @tattoodjay for #wednesdaywalk challenge it's certainly giving me more of a boost to get out there and see the beautiful things around us.

What a super cool and large park so much to see, I dont think I have ever seen a skeleton tree like that so cool, and I felt like I was there onthe walk with you seeing all the sights thanks for sharing
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk !tip
Thank you my friend it is one massive area to cover and i only covered a fraction of this park so far i will be going back to see more of it and i am happy you enjoyed the walk with me ...Cheers :)
And thank you for the tip :)
MOst welcome for the tip, and I winder how it compares in Size with Central Park her ein NYC that is huge as well
WoW..Central Park over there is 5 times bigger then this park here are the specs of Central Park over there compare to 142 acres of Lumpini Park over here :)
840 acres
Central Park, largest and most important public park in Manhattan, New York City. It occupies an area of 840 acres (340 hectares) and extends between 59th and 110th streets (about 2.5 miles [4 km]) and between Fifth and Eighth avenues (about 0.5 miles [0.8 km]).
That’s good info to compare I have walked all over Central Park over the years you can never see it all in one visit there is so much area and so much to see
That is a lot of area to cover but i bet every step would be breathtaking of course we have got bigger parks then Lumpini park over here but this park never seems to have any end parks are always enjoyable to walk through :)
I do love walking through Centrla Park in the warmer months I try to visit it at least a month, allowing an hour before work, so I only see a small portion on each visit
I image it would be a extraordinary park to be walking through and that is the best way to do it a bit at a time :)

Sir hangin! And that tree, it wasn't just that tree? In other words, that is an actual species of tree like that and there are others? That was almost scary looking lol.
Fantastic photos and so many things to see in the park! I am impressed by the lizzards how they roam freely like the cats. The skeleton tree is awesome. I have never seen anything like that. And so many flowers.... When I come to visit my son I will go there. I will put it in my wish list. 😀
