Wednesday Walk to Ashover Rock, Derbyshire, UK
This is my #wednesdaywalk initiated by @tattoodjay.
The sun was out and the wind had dropped so took a walk to Ashover Rock (Derbyshire, UK). This rock is a gritstone boulder and it's a favourite walk with the the locals.
Over the years people have carved their names in the stone.
Just near the rock is an old royal observer corps bunker, trig point and a toposcope which points out all the surrounding places on the horizon.
It was only a short, circular walk but quite a few interesting things to see.
