It truly is a peaceful lake...!!!! and the water is crystal clear. I love to stop by and see if I spot a Loon. They are so beautiful and their call is amazing..!!! Not all the lakes in my area have Loons but this particular one does. A great place for bird watchers to visit .

Your photos are always excellent! I wonder if the abstract on the birch tree used to be someone's initials, and then after The Break-Up someone decided to get rid of them! The little island out in the lake certainly makes beautiful reflections.

It truly is a beautiful lake. It's actually quite a large body of water.
Thats interesting I didn't think of that. The abstract could be the altering of initials after a break up.

The second tree photo someone put a little white stone in the bark. I thought that was pretty cool. I should have take a close up shot.

I'm not really sure. Definitely something carved into the tree. One theory on a reply I got was perhaps it was the initials of two people and perhaps they broke up/separated and one of them tried to erase or alter. Perhaps a future story.. :)
Perhaps it was the guy from the canoe putting his next victims initials in the tree?
