A Promise of Love

in #wedding8 years ago

In one of my posts, I discussed how pamamanhikan has been part of Filipino traditions. After pamamanhikan, comes the wedding. And that's what I witnessed last Saturday. A celebration of love and commitment of two people bound to love each other for as long as they both shall live.
I have been emceeing for years now and have witnessed the couple's marriage vows many times. Nothing's changed. I still feel the same kilig years back on my own wedding.

Preparing a wedding is not at all easy. It requires your time and patience to deal with every details, from the invitations to the decorations, food, gowns, sponsors, and most especially, finances.

The Venue

As an early bird ( because I am the wedding commentator), I got the chance to explore the venue. The altar was surrounded by flowers which made it more alive. The clubhouse where the ceremony was held was enough to house the whole entourage. At the side is the basketball court which they used for the reception. It was indeed a family gathering, a celebration.

How I love to eat this cake and pick one of the giveaways. It's an eight - layered cake which displayed the motifs of the wedding: blue and pink. A typical illustration of a boy and girl. It's so yummy.

Weddings wouldn't be complete without the musicians who sang the couple's requested christian love songs. Kudos to this team for filling the air with so much love through their songs.

***And here comes the bride all dressed in white. A picture of happiness indeed.

***The most anticipated moment.... You may now kiss the bride

And the two became one. In sickness and in health. For richer or for poorer. For better or for worse. Till death do them part.

What God has put together, let no man put asunder.

Thank you for your time.

As always,
@jonabeth
