Jen's attitude and response here is patterned after an old girlfriend of mine who, as wonderful as she was, never missed a chance to complain when my friends and I had a LAN party. It wasn't that they were frequent events (only once every three or four months), but she simply just didn't get into video games at all. At one point she referred to one such LAN party as "a bunch of nerds marinating in your own sweat". Which was totally inaccurate. Seriously, given how many Big Gulps filled with Mountain Dew or Coke we were drinking, we were marinating in sugar more than anything else. ;)
But that aside and in all seriousness, this strip is dedicated to Christina... the world is a lot less bright and interesting without you in it...

Come to think of it, more of our LAN parties happened during the summer, when we had really long daylight hours in Anchorage, than during the winter. So the vampire theory isn't too far off base... :)
It's a good thing you haven't evolved to the blood drinking stage. And if you some day (night) do, it's a good thing Finland is pretty far from your point of view... :D
