Nerd By Northwest #100 – “… But the Mind is Free…”

This one is for those office drones everywhere, dreaming of better things while stuck in mostly pointless meetings. To say I spent most meetings at my last couple jobs with my head in the clouds like this would be an understatement, and this is just one of many flights of fancy I had during said meetings.
As for the pop culture reference, needless to say Time Bandits was one of my all-time favorite childhood movies. I always envisioned after the end of the movie the young boy Kevin would use that Polaroid photo of the map to have his own solo adventures through time, and I often imagined where and when I would go if I were in his shoes. My personal top picks would be the time of the early Roman Empire, the Italian city-states during the Renaissance, America just before and during the Revolutionary War, and America 50 years into the future.
