Global Blockchain And Web3 Technology To Take Center Stage At Decipher 2022 In Dubai From November 28-30
Attendees will be able to sign up for one-on-one mentoring sessions with blockchain experts, learn how to set up wallets and play-to-earn games, and explore a high-end curated NFT art gallery.
The 2022 edition of Decipher, an annual conference on blockchain and Web3 use cases hosted by Singapore-based blockchain platform Algorand Foundation, will take place from November 28-30, 2022, at the Madinat Jumeirah Conference and Events Centre in Dubai, UAE.
Over 120 speakers from leading firms across the tech ecosystem are expected to attend the three-day conference, including Bahamian cryptocurrency exchange FTX, US-based global investment firm SkyBridge Capital, UK-based zero-carbon technology-based Formula E company Envision Racing, US-based music streaming platform Napster, Cayman Islands-headquartered cryptocurrency exchange Binance, China-based crypto-native venture firm Sino Global Capital, and music and entertainment NFT marketplace LimeWire, among others.
Attendees will be able to sign up for one-on-one mentoring sessions with blockchain experts, learn how to set up wallets and play-to-earn games, and explore a high-end curated NFT art gallery. They will also be able to participate in hands-on workshops designed specifically for developers and led by engineers and product leaders. These experts are behind the Algorand protocol, a pure proof-of-stake decentralized Byzantine agreement protocol that can tolerate an arbitrary number of malicious users as long as those who follow the protocol's instructions hold more than two-thirds of the total stake in the system.
Over the three days, 50 sessions are expected to take place. One of those sessions, titled "Financial Inclusion at Scale: A World Tour," will examine the various challenges and opportunities for achieving a blockchain-powered, inclusive financial future. Sanzar Kakar, Founder, HesabPay; Victor Mapunga, Co-Founder and CEO, FlexFinTx; Abhinav Sinha, Co-Founder, Eko India Financial Services; and Matt Keller, Head of Social Impact, Algorand Foundation will speak at this session.
Following the launch of the Dubai Metaverse Strategy by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, in July 2022, another session at the conference will draw on work done in the metaverse space. The event, titled "Building the Next Crypto Capital," will feature Middle Eastern business leaders discussing how to create frameworks for compliant crypto businesses to thrive. Basil Al Askari, CEO and co-founder of MidChains; Benjamin Ampen, CEO of MENA at Kraken; and Jehanzeb Awan, Chairman of the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Crypto and Blockchain Association will speak at this session.
Another session titled "Efficiency, Speed, and USDC on Algorand" will feature speakers Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of FTX, and Anthony Scaramucci, founder and managing partner of SkyBridge Capital. Furthermore, on November 30, 2022, from 8:30-10 a.m., a special Women's Breakfast Club will be held, which will be free and open to all women in the Web3 technology community (UAE).
