Whether starting a blog, business or any form of project there are many variables to consider. One overlooked expense I believe many businesses overlook is shipping and marketing. Marketing is a business expense that is constantly changing. Obviously the more money spent on marketing the more sales, exposure and traction a business gain. But for these very same reasons this is where it gets complicated. If a business owner is not careful marketing alone could run any business bankrupt. At Mixed Education currently we don’t spend much on marketing because it’s very difficult to acquire “clean traffic.” When going out and paying for traffic companies usually use things like Bing ads, Google ads, or marketing in other search engines while paying for SEO services. These are the most common way to drive activity to a site.

Outside of using platforms listed above many businesses try other means in attempt to gain exposure. As you may imagine advertising on Bing, Yahoo, Aol and Google isn’t exactly the most affordable for some businesses. This lead many businesses to venture outside of these traffic driving sources. Usually we are very skeptical toward using any other traffic sources. But for the new year we have decided to do something that is unusual. In doing so we will use Maxvisits.com in an attempt to gain more exposure. Why did we choose Max Traffic? We at Mixed Education have been following this company for about 2 years. Max Traffics was suggested to us a while back in conjunction to a couple other traffic services. After two years only about two of those traffic driving companies are still running. As you can see, traffic driving sources come and go. Just by this company sticking around much longer we’ve decided to give them a chance.

Furthermore, there are many traffic services who use bots and other shady practices to make activity developed online look promising. This is definitely a bad idea by any business in theory. What good is a blog, business or media outlet that has 1 million visitors a month but only 1000 users are actually engaged? Most business owners should be in business to connect with people by providing a solution. If a solution is being provided but met with bots meaning not actual users what good is a business? In our opinion that is a bad business that wont be around for very much longer. For the remaining month of January 2019, we will be using Max Visits services while measuring pros and cons and determining whether service was useful.
