Another Scorcher In Roswell
It's been a very hot summer here in Roswell NM.
Temperatures are averaging 105 degrees. It's been so hot with the sun beating down that the sidewalks are starting to buckle.

This sidewalk buckled a good three inches. There is a small cave under it.

You can see clear to the other side. This is a perfect display of expansion and contraction, as well as why sidewalks are segmented. Without the seam The sidewalk would crush itself.
Oh! It's really amazing to see the sidewalk buckled....
It's very hot here in Thailand, too.

You said it . I have seen three sections that this has happened in. This one is the most prominent. When the temperatures dropped for a short period, They started to drop back into place. Then it got hot again and they rose back up.
