South Africa is a country of beauty in extremes. Although we have been in the grips of a major drought, the aching loveliness of the harsh landscape can bring tears to your eyes. Our weather kills, but before we die, we live!

The following photo's of the deluge in Johannesburg yesterday have been sourced from Twitter. I live in KZN, about four hours away, and severe rain is predicted for our province this week as well.

      I share your sentiment.I have hope seeing how people help one another in times like this.Like in the Philippines,we have our own share of floodings and other calamities.We pray,smile and move on.

          @onetree I am glad we had rain...but not the damages it cause...watched the videos and some lady was crying for her car been washed away...really bad!!!
