Short But Deadly Rains

Here in Illinois, and many other states, we either get a lot of rain really quick or no rain at all for a very long time. Just yesterday after about two weeks of getting no rain, we finally got a storm… but it lasted only 20 minutes. Within that 20 minutes we got about ¾ of an inch of rain.
That may not seem like a lot, but you go to a state like Kansas where ¾ inches of rain seems like 6 inches. Occasionally we will a storm that’ll last a day, but not very often. The rains of Illinois are SBD (short but deadly.) : )
I'm a 16-year-old junior in high school. I've figured out that Steemit is a great way to express my feelings about certain topics and get paid for it! I like to start all my articles with a quote to get the reader to understand the 'feeling' of the article before they start reading it.

We got a brief downpour yesterday, too. It never seems to be enough since things are baked and brown here, too. I was in a swimming pool when the storm hit. I will make that into a post tomorrow! Tip: Get more notice by carefully selecting your tags. Browse through all the tags and and look how much traffic they get -- in other words how much SBD they generate. Tags like life and nature get a good following.
Thanks for the tip! I just changed the tags on this post, hopefully that will help a little. I just couldn't think of good tags for this kind of post originally, although now it seems so obvious. :)
You need more followers to help your posts, too. A great way to gain followers is browse the many other posts (especially topics that interest you) and leave comments. Engaging thoughtfully will almost always pick up followers for ya. More followers generally means better payouts.
