To answer this question, let us first take a look at what evil is. All that is evil and good in this world is basically something that we classify as such. Let me explain it further. If an evil occurs then it is us humans who will call that act as evil, but for the universe it is just another addition to the physical entropy of the cosmos.

So looking at evil, we'll see that it is actually something within us and not outside of us. when we label something as evil we are basically pointing out a reflection of what is within the humanity. So how is it possible that something outside of us can be the root of all evil?

Money is just another thing or a tool that we can use to do what we want. If we want to do evil then we'll use whatever resources we have to achieve that target. If money happens to be that resource, then it is not the money that is to blame but rather the person who does that particular evil deed.

Sure, money and power can be put to terrible use but at the end of the day we humans are the masterminds behind that puppet show. Although it is easier to blame that money and power for all our misdeeds but it doesn't help the humanity become more human

There is no denying how the history has shown that a large percentage of those who had money, have ended up on the wrong side of 'good and evil' saga. But we eventually find out that these people were evil long before they had control over vast sums of money. Once they had the money and power, their influence reached far and wide. The carrier of any such evil influence might have been money but it was the action men behind it that were evil.

I firmly believe that we are responsible for our own choices and I feel this way not just about money but life in general.
