The Water Project on Steemit - bring water to people
This is a charity post: all reward will go to The Water Project
Water scarcity
Summer is here and it makes demand for water even greater. However water is always critical necessity. Currently over 1.2 billion people in the developing world, especially in Africa, don't have access to safe drinking water. You can change this status quo right now just by one single click or do even something beyond that. The Water Project associates people who helps to bring water to people by building new water facilities and renewing the old ones on places where it is needed the most. This post is meant to promote such an activities on Steemit which was an idea I had in my mind for some time.
The Water Project achievements
The Water Project people operates in Africa, specifically in Kenya, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda and Burkina Faso and so far they completed unbelievable over 1200 projects and it's water for approximately for half million of people (calculating one project affects about 350 people) - you can see details of each of them here. These countries has sources of water but they lack funds to build infrastructure like pumps and sanitized wells to get it. That is the area where the Water Project operates.

You can donate whatever you want but to have some idea about your donation impact - average project serves to 350 people and based on this water for one person for five years cost about 34 USD for at least 5 years under which the project is maintained.
