Starman

Recently friend of mine joined Steem and it was interesting to recognize myself in him when I first started out. That pure joy and excitement for creating and exploring the new playground. Unaware of so many things only more seasoned users can see and grasp for they have been observing this tiny microcosm a while longer. Studying it’s inner workings and patterns of human behavior visible on the canvas of the blockchain.
For someone who spends a lot of time thinking about morals, values, ethics and idealism, it becomes clear soon enough that in our imperfect world there are also no perfect systems even in microworlds. How come? We have this beautiful idea. Is that not enough for guidelines? Not everyone shares the same vision for what would be ideal.
There is constant clash of different truths. Neverending battle between our consciousness. That is our existence, wandering in the darkness looking for our path. Some never wish to let go of old ways, work hard for something new, hopefully better instead. It is never boring at least, but slightly draining or very draining. Depends.
Sometimes we all manage to burn the candle from both ends. Only we know our limitations and even then it can get out of hand quickly if we are not aware of the signs. It should be mandatory to step back every now and then to revalue, purify and look at things in retrospect to move forward, towards progress and goals we have set out to do in the first place.

It is not possible anyway, but it does not hurt to aim higher, to try for not just good enough, but sometimes also the best. However, I understand what you meant. It seems these days we are all taught the mentality of jumping higher than maybe we actually can and so many suffer because of that.
True. In many cases we have to aim higher and do better. I think we just have to chose more carefully which goals to select as nowadays there are so many choises.

Hi m31. I know where your friend is coming from. You come onto this platform expecting nothing out of the ordinary as such. You then start to realize that there is a lot going on beneath the surface. I am not naive and very little shocks me but this place is a mad house. It is fun though.
Indeed a fun mad house sometimes. Also I've noticed so much more about the way humans act through this platform than from anywhere else.

Hehehe... Did you watch that one SpaceX launch? With the car, and a starman at the wheel? (with "Don't Panic" written down on the dashboard, lol). And the SpaceX team were playing Starman through the whole process ^^ It was glorious...
And the landing of the two first stage booster rockets gave me goosebumps!
And yes, indeed, it is never boring ... =) ... I don't understand how anyone could be bored ... I feel like I always have too much to do with too little time. And yes, it's draining. Life goes on and just when you start to feel like you've accomplished something, new challenges arise and you have to start a whole new journey.

I watched for sure. It was so surreal I could not take my eyes off of the live stream and kept watching till it cut off with some music in background.
Draining part worries me a little. Should it always be so complicated? Sometimes it seems as if people over complicate their lives too much, also with useless things.
Yes Steemit is imperfect, but I am really still enjoying the ride!
This reminds me of the Starman in the roadster that Elon Musk and SpaceX shot up a while back!
