Guava water grows naturally from India to East Malaysia, but is now widely cultivated in Southeast Asia and the tropics in general. In Indonesia, the guava water is mainly cultivated as home garden. The scientific name of the guava water is Syzygium aqueum (Burm.f.) Alston (check the scientific name, synonyms, and classification in the GBIF Data Portal, ITIS, and The Plant List), while other common names are cashew chili, guava ayer, rose guava , jambu bidder (Malaysia), water apple, watery rose aple, bell fruit (UK).

Staggered, 3-10 m tall, short stems and crooked, often branched from the base of the stem, irregular headings. Single leaf face, heart-jorong shape until round oval eggs, measuring (7-25) cm x (2.5-16) cm, no smell until kinda smelly when squeezed, petiole length 0,5-1,5 mm. Inflorescence of the terminal and the leaf's armpit, the stem consists of 3-7 buds, flower diameter 2.5-3.5 cm, long petal tubes 5-7 mm long, yellow-white, stamens are numerous, length 0, 75-2 cm long, 17 mm long pistil sticks. The fruit of the bun, is shaped like a top, (1.5-2) cm x (2.5-3.5) cm, crowned with fleshy petals, colored from red to glossy white, white flesh, contains many juices , hardly flavorful. Seeds are 1-2 (-6) grains, small, round.

Guava fruit water can be eaten without needing to be skinned after cooking. Ripe fruit is also used as ingredients to make rujak or make fruit salad. Follow me @tjunaidi
