HBO's Watchmen Blows My mind Again Episode 8 Thoughts
Dr. Manhattan is just a cold ass character; one of the coldest cats in the movie; The entire concept, of a man that basically turns, into what human beings would consider to be, a god. Able to be in multiple places at one time; can teleport himself or anyone else, simply by thinking it. can reassemble matter, in seconds ... 'but here's the kicker' ... realizes, that he exists in Multiple places 'in time' at one time. ... in the past, future AND present ... at once!!!! That's a mind blower ..... and they basically, explored this character 'even deeper' with this series ... (which is what you realize by the time you hit episode 8...)
They been dropping hints that it was Cal all along; I had a 'thought' it might be him, when he sat down with the kids, and talked super atheist with it; but also, very 'calmly' ...
Dr. Manhattan ish; all the 'hints' around their house too; several rooms had a blue glow to them; but yea; still didn't see 'how' they did it coming; which, also blows my mind; I guess he could 'foresee' all that happened in his relationship with Angela, up to the 'fight' they have; and then 10 years 'after' -- which I guess he only 'knows' because Angela tells him, as she's grabbing her heat, and getting ready to go outside, and save, His Life.
Something, he also forsaw; he knew he had to exist 'in that moment' --- >
On some Dr. Strange/Iron Man #ENdgame shit; He couldn't 'tell' Angela how things would go down; or else, it wouldn't go down; instead, 'another version of events would unfold' --- events, that may not 'lead' to the outcome Strange, Ironman, or in this case, Angela really wants!
Perhaps the path humanity is on, now, (within the post-squid 11/2 reality of the Watchmen Universe from the comics) is about to be Endgame; droppin squid ain't working; love that we saw the Disappointment of Veidt, several years into the con, super unhappy to see that he still couldn't stop People from doing people shit; finding ways to destroy ... and, without a doubt, Manhattan saw that moment too; he knew he'd have to go to him, for help with his relationship, b/c 10 years later he'd be involved in this 7kalvary/cyclops plot.
He just couldn't see 'what' it was, because ... Tachyons; which explains the several years he could not 'see' --- leaving him Disoriented, not knowing 'when' he was after 'waking up' --- he's almost been 'reborn' .... and I'm wondering if this 'version' of him is about to decease; which is why he's going along with it; having already 'seen' he has to, in order for his new versions to come forward; episode 9, i already know, is going to leave me entirely mindf*cked at this point; I'm ready for it to happen too.... "Hue-Manity" will benefit for decades to come, from what HBO just put on Television;
