@yourhelper, stopping Wars one month from today, and forever

in #war7 years ago (edited)

First off, I can't win this competition. What I'm about to say will be unpopular and will not make anyone feel good. It won't be new age and won't have millennials smiling at the thought of world peace through politically correct requests and fruitless protests. I'm going to offer a few insights from my experience in the Middle East, and why wars can only be won through ideological shifts, cultural movements, and monetary motivators.

Wars do sometimes result from ideological differences

Yemen and Saudi are at war because they follow different branches of Islam, and Saudi (backed by the West) wants to limit the expansion of the Iranian regime.

Currently BAE is the muscle behind this war, though the News states it's Saudi-led. I lived next to the BAE compound and can tell you for a fact that British pilots are dropping those bombs, not Saudi's. If you want to stop this war you'll need to do the following:

  1. Run a campaign against BAE Systems interference in the gulf. I know some of the people who work at BAE and people who have connections to them. It would be simple enough to have someone with a wire get them to admit their the one's bombing Yemen because the Saudi pilots are incompetent, I've heard them say it a hundred times over drinks (they make their own alcohol on the compound).
  2. Expose the alcohol and cannabis usage of BAE and other Military compounds in Saudi. The Saudi Government knows they're full of alcohol and other elicit substances, but the populace does not. Their would be a large enough backlash to require some major response from the government, jeopardizing their muscle over Yemen.
  3. Inform Saudi's abroad of what's going on. The more Saudi's understand them Yemenis are people, the less likely they are to comply with this war that isn't theirs. While I worked in Saudi all the students would tell me how bad Yemen was, but none of them could answer why. Conversations that went any deeper would get you fired. However, rich Saudi students are abundant in the West, and here the conversations can be deep and influential. Many professors can be directly contacted with pleas to bring up these issues.

Syria

There's not much we can do about Syria, the Western interests at stake are too large to admit that Bashar is (more or less) innocent and that our motivation for intervention has nothing to do with terrorism. The only way to end the war is for the west to pull out and give public support of Bashar, which would hurt our relations with Saudi and all Sunni majority countries.

War in General

To end war we need to know what's causing it. Money and cultural influence. The West wants their reality imposed upon countries they see as underdeveloped, however you can't force cultural change on a country, but what you can do is funnel the most dissident men into rebellious armies, and then wipe those armies out, leaving the most passive citizens alive. This is an effective War strategy in cultural soft nations.

If you want to avoid the war, you need to increase tourism. Tourism is a fantastic way of shifting the ideology of a country, the more international tourism a place gets, the more international it becomes. To do this, heavy investments would need to be made in key cities in places like Sudan, Uganda, Yemen and Syria. The Whales of Steemit alone could make a huge impact on a single city in Sudan. Once a city sees tourism as a means to economic prosperity, they crack down on their violence and shift into a cultural haven of job creation.

Conclusion

My objectives are clear and they'll work. Sadly, they're realistic and I can't imagine they're what Steemit is looking for. It's not a feel good peace and it would require actual effort--something most self-acclaimed "good people" can't stand.

To end war:

  1. Get BAE out of Saudi by exposing their illegal substance abuse and their horrific opinions of the Saudi people
  2. Invest in major war-torn cities, and fund travel agency deals to those developed cities
  3. Flood Steemit with Sunni-Shiite peace offerings and
  4. Stop hero-fetish of soldiers.

You brought some new insight into the topic under discussion. What do you mean by BAE? Are you saying that Saudis are the reason for most of the middle east problem backed by the West? What of Afghanistan, Central African Republic and many more. I need more insight.

BAE Systems is a British multinational defense company/contractor. They're currently the largest war profiteer in the world. They're location in Saudi is where they "train" the pilots that bomb Yemen.

I spoke with the pilots and the trainers. They promise that the Saudi's can't fly worth a damn, and that the Brits and Americans are the actual pilots dropping the bombs, though in Saudi jets (provided by BAE).

I'm absolutely not saying that Saudis are the reason for the middle east problem, I'm saying the Sunni/Shiite divide is being used by the West and Russia to control natural gas/oil revenue. Russia has backed the shiite (Iran) and the US has backed the Sunni (Saudi) and so it's in our best interest to keep these factions at each other's throats despite them both being Muslim.

If you could mend Sunni/Shiite relations then you could end virtually all conflict in the Middle East. To do that, you'd need to convince the Saudi and Iranian leaders that it would be profitable to stop being at each others' throats.

Once you mend the Sunni/Shiite problem you'd have to address the Middle East/West conundrum. Boko Haram (one of the biggest terrorist groups in the world) essentially stands for "Western teachings are evil/against Islam". If you want to convince them to stop being a terrorist organization without killing anyone then you'd need to pump some serious money into islamic education programs in NorthEast Africa. Maintaining traditional Islam as the focus of the curriculum but also having intense English/Mathematics courses to drive the literacy rate and STEM level up for the country. That reduces Terrorism 10/10 times.

If you want more insight, I want more money.
