ICC to investigate Israel for war crimes in Palestinian Territories
It's about damn time. Israel should be investigated for crimes going all the way back to 1947, but I guess this is good for now. 5 years ago Palestine became a member of the ICC and so they are able to call on the court to investigate Israel's actions and they have. The investigation should preferably happen with haste and the punishment should be severe. What will happen Idk. I'm not a believer in governments and international governing bodies, but if something happens to turn the tied of what's happening over their than that is fine by me. Governments take too long and too much pressure is required for them to actually do the right thing.
Destruction of property is just one of many crimes Israel is guilty of. They are also guilty of the displacement of families and confiscation of homes and lands, settlement building, and they bomb civilian centers such as hospitals, homes, schools and shelters, etc. They are slowly and systematically committing genocide.
The way their soldiers and police and settlers treat Palestinians is monstrous. Beatings, raids, confiscation, shooting and murder of unarmed civilians and medics, incarceration of children and innocent people in general, trial in military court, etc. The list is endless. The politically motivated lies and and myths that have poisoned the minds of so many to think Israel is the victim are just astounding. It is unacceptable! Maybe this will be the beginning of actually bringing an end to the conflict and have some justice done. We will see what happens.
