Ransomware it's not the ransom Stupid!
The recent ransomware attack for so little money is little more than an attempt to cause a jump in the Cryptocurrency markets. They get little ransom let alone don't answer messages.
This means market manipulation of the Cryptomarkets. This is going to bring greater scrutiny from unwanted opposition. from what I understand they only need to slightly alter the codes to create a new version. This means hardware and software changes will be needed to create systems that are more immune. The blockchain could help but speeds would have to massively increase. an encrypted internet could be the future.
