Exodus wallet is an immensely popular cryptocurrency wallet available for desktop and mobile devices.
Among its wide variety of features, the wallet allows users to store well over one hundred popular cryptocurrencies and allows users to stake several of these to earn a regular reward. However, it’s Exodus’ built-in cryptocurrency exchange functionality that allows users to instantly exchange a huge variety of cryptocurrencies without needing to create an account or provide any ID information.
Exodus partners with a variety of external exchange platforms to provide its anonymous exchange services. Although Exodus itself is extremely lax when it comes to the rules and limitations of using its exchange, most of its partners need to comply with their local laws and regulations.

Because of this, Exodus customers in certain countries will be unable to access the exchange functionality because the partner exchange Exodus uses to provide the particular trade pair they wish to trade blacklists customers in their country.
Exodus users affected by this issue will see a warning beneath each affected cryptocurrency trading pair, saying “Unavailable in your jurisdiction.” Typically, this issue only affects users that reside in a very restricted range of countries, Most notably Iran, North Korea, and the States of New York and Washington in the USA.
Although Exodus itself doesn’t track the IP address of its users, Exodus’ partner exchanges do filter their traffic based on its origin, e.g. if it comes from any of the restricted locations as previously mentioned.

Technically, it should be possible to bypass these restrictions by using a fresh VPN or proxy that hasn’t been blacklisted by any of Exodus’ partner exchanges, but depending on where you live, this might be frowned upon or potentially illegal. These are essentially tools that are able to change where your traffic appears to be coming from, tricking the exchanges into thinking you live elsewhere.
