Hi Everyone!!
It is still super wintery here in southern Alberta, Canada. Been staying in and getting cozy in our new home. Wanna see what's been up?
A little reminder of 2018 new year's resolution ๐
Been getting creative! I was gifted a dresser that is in need of some tlc. Here, it's getting sanded.
Got on the local garage sale site, and got two gallons of great new paint for $30! Took them to the local hardware store they divyed up one gallon into 4 quarts for just the cost of the new containers ๐ score!!
Some knobs, they're beautifulll!
Whoopsie!! Lil' accident with the primer. Could have been real bad only about an inch of the gallon poured out. Facepalm!
Dodged that bullet with lotsa water and scrubbing...
Snack time after that epidode. Chocolate hazelnut spread! Such a good treat ๐
And, the primer is on!
My nephew came over. We made some rice krispie squares, my son was craving.
Completed my first batch of kombucha. Green tea, with hybiscus and ginger. So happy with how it turned out!
Next batch is green tea, crysanthemum and goji berry. Hope it's just as awesome!
Been studying/ learning dlive to get you guys some yoga classes. What a technical learning curve!! It's in the works ๐
Well another snow storm warning today. Could get 10-20cm of snow. At least its not too coldish -15ยฐC today. I've loved seeing sights of spring in many of your #walkwithme's . But, it's a few more weeks of winter for this cat ๐ฑ

Nice walkabout! Good thing it was water based paint! Could have been much worse. It is why I only buy water-based paints, it's because I am a clutz! lol Now I am craving rice krispie squares! Haven't had them in years, not since moving to Central America. Rice krispies is a cereal not available here :{

The yellow coat went on and i was holding the quart FULL of yellow paint..... good heavens! It's funny how art looks so simple but the process is SO intricate haha Good Heavens! I miss your blogs! I aspire to homestead and steward land. Am in the process of making a plan. Haha ๐๐๐คนโโ๏ธ๐ณ๏ธโ๐

I just had the same thing happen with an almost empty 5 gal bucket of white paint/primer tipping over. Luckily it was water based and came up!

Hi Jill, yes in deed, water based paints clean up well. I was using the paint/primer on some walls after I bleach treated them for some mold that was forming. The bucket tipped over when the mounted part of the sprayer caused it to tip.
Hopefully that snow will slow down over there. I'm in the north east and we've been having beautiful weather this past week when we would normally be freezing. That's global warming for ya!
Oh man! It is good that it washes up well. It is snowing and snowing!! Lol, it's good you've had nice weather living in the ne. Here ---not so much! It's very wintery.

Yes for sitting on counters! I still do this, pisses my husband off.
And kudos for actually cleaning up the primer! I would have totally just left it. Yep. Hope to see the dresser when it's done.
How are you making the kombucha? I feel like if I could make my own, it would save me a lot of money. (I know it would)

Little Seth was up on that countertop within 3 minutes of arriving. I even tried to distract him with a box of toys that were all new to him! He just has this 'thing' for them and tabletops (which the latter runs in the family but usually involves alcohol and dancing!! Haha!) But, i guess it's your thing to huh!! I have read that tendancies like this can be related to spirit animal influence! Like maybe his/ your spirit animal is a high sitting bird or a cat! Lol --who knows!! Hope your husband can enjoy the ideosyncracy (sp?!!) In you. It's what i and baby boys mom have to do with him! He's been asked a billion times not to do it. But, it is his nature! Not much u can do about that.

I love the walk. The dresser will look fantastic when you are done. It is always fun to start a new project.
In November I went to the transfer station and picked up some paint for free and we were able to do some painting here as well. Nice cheap way to do it.
I imagine that Dtube is a huge learning curve. I appreciate all that you do. Thanks so much
