Walk with me! On Lakeshore Drive in Downtown Chicago

We've lived in Chicagoland for 9 years. I was 40 and my husband, 50. Both of us, born and raised in Metro Detroit. We consider ourselves EXTREMELY lucky to live near this world-class city. Any chance we get to be downtown, we take it.

We had a housecall on the Southwest side, closer to Midway Airport. Came into the city in a totally different way from another direction, getting a totally different city view.

We decided to cut over and take Lake Shore Drive through the city. It was a STUNNING day.

The skies were blue, Lake Michigan blue all the boats in the water? Glorious! Pretty sure these two are playing PokemonGo.

LSD (we'll call it this from now on) has a bike path, walking path and north of this area, amazing beaches.

Been in the building on the far right for several housecall and clean out situations. LSD apartments are fancy and usually don't allow sales.

Here's the famous Navy Pier.

Terrible shot but driving (husband)! Navy Pier had one of the THE first working Ferris Wheels.

Here's where you get a little further past big city and this is the view in front of you. Ahhhhh

Hiding behind this wall is Oak Street Beach that's always hopping.
