Walk With Me In Denver, Rich People Don't Need Sidewalks Edition
Venturing forth into The Rich Neighborhood today, where there are no sidewalks, I saw more lawn care workers than residents, and despite a swing in many a tree out front, no kids playing in the middle of summer vacation. There were kids having soccer drills at the private school, and one kid riding bikes with I presume her mom, but that was it.
It's eerie, y'all.
picture a manicured tumbleweed rolling across the street
the RICH neighborhood. The lady who gave me the eye probably was suspicious of my not designer jeans
slow for children. What children?
public school
private school, where the field had a family name, the "field house" had a family name, the garage had a family name. I'm not kidding. Like wings of a hospital.
But let's focus on some pretties. They have grown trees in The Rich Neighborhood, a rarity in Colorado
Spider web with water - it was way too hot and late in the morning for this to still be dew; it must have been from a sprinkler
does anyone know what kind of flower these are? They are so cool looking!
grown trees!
you survive in a rich mans world, little dandelion! You survive and you thrive!
woke rich person
I think I've mentioned before that this campaign gets an A+ from me
sacred oak trees 💙
the hiiiiiiiills are alive, with the sound of NO KIDS AT THE PARK
I thought where a damaged limb had been cut on this tree looked really interesting
on my way home, Gentrification Apartments sport a retro-looking "wish you were here" sign.
Well that was my four miles! I think I maybe got a wee bit sunburned! 😮 I don't look red (yet), but exposed skin feels somewhat burned, you know? My Celtic ass does not tan in this place. Do not expose Celt to direct sunlight. Keep in the forest under tree cover. If your Celt burns, apply cool water and aloe vera.
That Red Fish your momma always warned you about

The rich may have money and fancy houses, but I don't think they are happy...Everything is so pristine and unloved...how sad!
Ooh dude lol to all of your jokes hahaha, all kidding aside though, I know just the kind of suburban setting you are talking about, where are all the people and the kids? To me it felt like in the aftermath of an apocalypse. Everyone's at work and all the kids are in camps or at day care :'( So sad...so poignant. All I can think of is man we are so fucked...
On to the pretties, no, I don't know what those flowers are but they are Fantastic! I loved the grown assed man sized trees too... <3 Great #walkwithme.
Thanks! Yeah, it is sad ...they have these big gorgeous houses and gardens, and aren't home to enjoy them.
That's how I feel about working a million hours to be able to afford a house/etc. What's the point of it if you're never home to enjoy it? Also, those apartments are ugly and personality-less. They kind of depressing me to look at them.
It's very much "the look" of so many new, "luxury" apartments here.
You just planted 0.06 tree(s)!
