Seanald and I went for a walk in our 10 acre woods to remark our property's boundaries. Some of the previous boundary tape had either faded or fell off of the trees they were tied to. We walked from our house, across the north boundary, down the west boundary, and across the southern border and back to the house which is situated on the eastern side of our property.
S-shaped tree
Parchment fungus on a old downed Cedar
A fuzzy thing on an oak leaf.
WILD BIRD SHIT!!!
Pretty pink and grey rock
I think this is hoarfrost
Macro shot of the frost
Another macro shot
A gnarly old tree root right on the boarder between us and our neighbors to the north.
A different angle of the root wad
I found this old locking gas cap on the boarder too.
Surveyor's stake in the north-west corner of our property.
We got home and warmed up by the fire. It is only 25 degrees F out there!
Thanks for coming along! Hope you're warm and toasty wherever you are!
I laughed aloud at “a fuzzy thing”! The macro shots of the hoar frost were so neat—the first one reminded me of salt crystals or rock candy :)
Too bad it was too dirty to lick! Haha! Thanks, @mtnmeadowmomma!
Looks like a great way to spend a morning! I love the shot of the gas cap!
Thanks, @freedompoint! I was really surprised to find it there. It was just randomly in the middle of our woods with nothing else around.
I love the "S" tree and the gnarly root!!! It did get cold very quickly, but it seems that the sky was a very beautiful shade of blue!!
:) Thanks, @sallyswitchblade! It was a good walk, even if it was freezing.
very interesting post thanks for share it.
