Local ledgend maintains that It was a custom to plant one Palm for each Daughter and two for each son. So Haria is Known as the Village of the Palms.

Lets end our day out with a curious statue. Meant to represent the old inhabitants of the Island the Guanche of which now there is very little known.

An enjoyable walk through town. So very quiet and peaceful with a brilliant blue sky. I would love to see and feel the vibe of the town on the market day. See what they had to offer to purchase. Would also appreciate being able to go inside the church and have a sit down and talk to someone who might care to listen. I would totally enjoy being able to purchase that old house and give it a reno..interesting architecture all around. So hard to get used to such a small amount of trees when I am totally surrounded by them. All in all a nice post and I can almost feel that warm sun. I have given you my top vote today.

Well thank you Mam, it was a pleasure to bring it to you. Yes that house is amazing, I have tried asking people about it, but to no avail, so trying to buy it would be pretty much impossible. The owners may not be around anymore.
Market daysbare indeed very different with locals and tourists alike everywhere. Crouds are nit really our thing as you can tell lol.
As for getting in the church we will have to try on another day, we have been many times but it is never open. As soon as it is you will be on the list for pictures. Thanks for your vote, you know how much I appreciate your input 😎😎😎

Is it unholy to take photos in a church? I don't know. It looks serene and I wonder what faith they are? I would love to sit inside a while and speak to his worship, whoever that may be. Happy that you care about my input. I dont appreciate crowds, but I do enjoy a good market with fresh things to purchase to eat and a certain vibe and feel where that comes in. I love the vibe and feel of the Halifax waterfront. The cafes and shops and sailboats. Very eclectic.

Holy or not I have taken pictures inside churches before and haven't been struck down yet. The faith here is Roman Catholic. You may have given me an Idea to do a feature on the Islands churches 😎

Great one Andy! The architecture is just to die for...the weather looks so beautiful with the big fluffy clouds, I really appreciated the look see, thanks!

You are very welcome, its difficult to get across the tranquility of this little village. Its just so great to just sit and ponder life. 😁
