Waikiki: Dukes and chicks in paradise

Aloha Steemians!

Right now I got some photos taken at a very popular restaurant in Waikiki at Duke’s Kahanamoku restaurant. The typical delicious foods of burgers and fresh mahi-mahi plates awaits you but the louder beckoning are our delicious mai-tais and blue Hawaii. This is one of this most popular “must go to” if you are staying on Waikiki. As known to the locals; every Sunday is a time to move and grove to our popular singer; Henry Kapono and his band. Although there’s seated areas in the covered area, there are open space for standing around, have some drinks and listen to the music.

Well, on most Sundays we are here for the live band played by this wonderful group and of course, to have a beer or two as we soak in the sun and catches up among friends. Here are some photos of me and my friends under the spell of Duke’s Kahanamoku in Waikiki...

More Duke’s on Sunday with my girls!!!

Waiting patiently at Duke’s bar; sipping mai-tais, waiting to get onto the catamarans. Ok, sunset booze cruise. Well, those cruises have totally down graded themselves to undrinkable complimentary mai tai.

Waikiki is a crowed place, yet full of aloha spirit passing down to our incoming guests. We can’t help but to smile and celebrate this perfect weather and aloha spirit that our islands share with you.
