I once did a post on similar lines about the heart. It is rather a pretty interesting topic. Also I like how you narrate the story. Apart from this since you are using steemstem tag, I recommend that in order to make better posts, you can try going in bit more detail. For example talk a bit about biology of what makes heart beat in a certain way or you can talk about what is so interesting about certain rythm -- it's characteristics or what does it achieve by it.

The author could even do something more simple, and try to locate some primary literature on the topic he is discussing above, changes to the beating pattern of the heart. It doesn't need to include a bunch of basic information for it to be a 'steemstem' post, rather just an illustration that the content is based in fact and not just the opinion of the poster with some citations to the information, so anyone who wants to read in more detail has the easy access to do so.
