Zukerberg finally ready to settle down with just one facebook App.

For the past few months, we noticed so many facebook apps being introduced to facebook users. Some of them includes:

• Facebook Lite
• Facebook Messenger
• Messenger Lite and;
• The main facebook App.

What we didn't actually know is that facebook has been experimenting with these App to know which one exactly bring to the facebook community the best user expirence. Now coupled with the recent Cambridge Analytical Scandal, Zukerberg has decided to start what he called Facebook Apps Clean Up. This clean up includes getting rid of other facebook apps many people didn't know existed, like;

• Facebook Local
• Friendly for Facebook
• Metal for Facebook
• Swipe for Facebook
• Tinfoil for Facebook
• Folio for Facebook and many others.

Soon facebook messages can only be seen with one App called Facebook Messenger. This actually is a stand-alone facebook app, just like WhatSapp. When this is applied, Facebook messages will no longer be able to be seen by even entering facebook link on a browser, rather it can only be viewed with the stand-alone app.

Here, Zukerberg explains why he is carrying out the Facebook Apps Clean Up at the F8 Summit in San Francisco. "The most important part of Facebook is the feed but what we are trying to do is build a service that is good for everyone which is why we are focusing on messeging. Having to login to facebook and wait for a whole lot to load before seeing your messages waste a lot of time and slow things down. But Facebook messenger is faster and more focused. It hence, helps receive and respond to messages faster. Again, we know we have to do a lot to gain back the trust of our users, so we intend to do that with this Stand-Alone Facebook messenger", Zukerberg says.

For me personally, i think this is a bad move because although the idea is great, WhatSapp which Zuckerberg owns too is already performing that fuction. Facebook is all about meeting new people, connecting with them through pictures, videos and more. Restricting it to messeging only is only going to end up making it boring.
