5 RELATIONSHIP ADVICE EVERY TEEN SHOULD KNOW

In this post, i want to talk about 5 relationship advice i wish i knew before dating as a teen. If i knew them earlier, my previous relationship would have lasted longer and would have been more productive. Well, no regrets but i still want to share these tips for anyone who might need these tips.

1. LOVE AND RESPECT YOURSELF FIRST

The first relationship advice i want to put out is that if you love and respect yourself first, a healthy relationship will naturally come to you. You don't have to rely on finding someone else to love you, instead you should rely on yourself to always love yourself unconditionally. A lot of younger people should learn that losing yourself in a relationship, leads to obssession, that is unhealthy attachment.

2. ITS EASY TO GET SUCKED INTO A BAD RELATIONSHIP.

The second advice is that it is quite easy to get sucked into a bad relationship and it is harder to get out of it. When most people talk about love, they focus on the exciting part and hardly talks about the pain, the confusion, the difficulty involved in getting out of the relationship. Teens need to know that breakups are not really bad. Well, its a terrible expirience but staying in a bad relationship because of the fear of breakup is worst.

3. TALK TO STRANGERS

Most people are taught not to talk to stranger and just mind their business to stay out of troubles. But the thing is, talking to strangers isn't really the problems but social skills. If you don't get comfortable meeting new people as a teen, then when you get older it doesn't get any easier. I advice you go out there and talk to people who have different opinions, views, backgrounds. When it comes to love this will give more instinct to what works for you.

4. DON'T BE IN A HURRY TO MARRY

My next advice to teens is that you should not be in so much hurry to get married to someone until you've lived with them for atleast one year. When you move in with someone, people change for the good and the bad. I think if you just have the chance to know if you are meant for someone by living with them for at least a year, this will reduce the chance of getting divorced later on.

5. RELATIONSHIPS ARE FORMED IN REAL LIFE

The last relationship advise i want to give to teens and adults too reading this post is that relationship are formed in real life and not by text, online dating or apps like tinder. It is fascinating that in this 21st century, people could actually date for 2 or 3 years without even seeing each other. If you have never met the person you are dating online, they do not exist in the real world.
