5 DANGEROUS HEALTH RISKS OF TATOOS.
Before i proceed with this post, i will like to point out that i do not in any way criticize people who have tatoos, in fact i will like to get my skin inked too. But it's important that we always look at the positive and negative effects of our actions and then decide if what we wanna do is worth the risks.

1. INCREASED RISK OF BACTERIA INFECTION.
In a recent study by Niti. K, Anupama. M and Arjun. K titled Complications of Tatoo and Tatoo Removal it was postulated that tatoos increases your risk of getting a bacteria infection. This happens when a recently tatooed skin comes in contact with water or airborne bacterials which could lead to skin and tissue infections such as psoriasis and morphea.
2. COMPLICATIONS DURING MEDICAL PROCEEDURES.
A study made 19 years ago titled Tatoo-Induced Skin Burn during MR Imaging pointed out another side effects of metal based ink tatoos which is the level of difficulty it posses to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exams. A more recent study also noted that these health complications is the reason why individuals with tatoos are restricted from donating bloods in hospitals.
3. TATOOS HINDERS HEALTHY SWEATING.
A large tatoo or too much tatoos on the area of your body where you have many sweat glands such as your hands and back, may affect the way you sweat. A New York Times Blog Post by Gretchen Reynolds warned that, first, tatoos can reduce the amount of sweat your body releases and also hinder your body from reabsorbing electrolytes and sodium released during prespiration especially when you're exposed to high heat or when you workout.
4. TATOOS CAN HIDE SKIN CANCER.
In a 2013 publication made in Harvard Health Blog titled Tatoos, Moles and Melanoma it was exposed that tatoo can hide certain form of skin cancer known such as Melanoma for a very long time without the carieer even detecting it. Melanoma if detected early can be cured before it spreads deeper into the skin tissues. Tatoos makes assessment of the mole in tatooed area difficult.
5. RISK OF ALLERGIC REACTIONS.
The last health risk of tatoo i want to point out is the risk of allergic reactions. There is a very high chance of having allergic reactions to tatoos if you use other tatoo dyes apart from black dye. One must know that these allergic reaction may not manifest immediately but sometimes begin to manifest years after you got the tatoo like the sad story of Nicola Hickman. One of the symptoms of these allergic reactions is itches on the tatooed area of the body.
