ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILLS PART 2

Good evening to you steemians and great people @wafrica. Hope you all had a wonderful day? Yes,I wrote a post on ENTREPRENEURSHIP yesterday and now will be doing some post about it today again,which I tagged part two. Thanks for reading that.

Okay,I gave definition,types and the characteristics needed for an entrepreneur. So today I would be talking about the Traits expected of an entrepreneur.

Here,I would be listing four different traits in common here. These are;

1 PERSONAL TRAITS: The first thing here is to look at are your personal characteristics, what your values and beliefs are. Do you have the inner spirit characteristics of a successful entrepreneur?

• Can you see opportunities for improvement in things, and can you quickly see the big picture?

• Are you highly self motivated and energetic? Are you also prepared to work very hard for a very long time?.

• Do you instinctively starts projects and can you quickly see where improvements need to be made?

• Do you enjoy being in charge and making decisions on your own?

• Are you able to make decisions when facts are uncertain?

• Can you recover from failure?

2 INTERPERSONAL TRAITS: Running your own business is about working with people. You have to communicate and satisfy employees,customers, suppliers,shareholders, investors and so on. This type of interpersonal traits you need to be good at are;

• Communication skills-You have to be effectively competent with written and oral communication.

• Listening to what others are telling you.

• You have to work effectively with others and must be able to delegate and empower others to get things done

• You must be able to encourage and inspire others to follow you and your vision.

• You must be able to work through your own conflicts with others and help resolve conflicts among themselves.

3 CRITICAL AND CREATIVE THINKING TRAITS: As an entrepreneur, you must be able to find the necessary information to support wise decisions about a venture.

• You must be able to see situations from a variety of perspectives and present original ideas.

• You must be able to develop good solutions to the problems you are facing.

• You must recognize trends and must be able to generate plans for making your ideas practical and do-able.

4 PRACTICAL TRAITS: The final components of entrepreneurial skills are the practical skills and knowledge you need to produce goods or provide services effectively and run an enterprise.

• You must regularly set goals,develop a plan to achieve them and carry out that plans

• You must understand the talents, skills and abilities required to achieve your goals.

• You must be confident in the decisions you make and act on them effectively.

• You must know about more on business to be successful.
