I know sometimes, life can be a "pain in the ass", really, forgive me for that description but isn't that the way some people see life nowadays? A pain in the ass? Well, as much as I would love to keep a positive attitude I must confess life is really not a bed of roses

What do I mean by "keep on keeping on"?

The word for it is: persistency
And what is persistency? PERSISTENCY the fact of continuing in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.

Really, persistency is a part of life whether you like it or not. It's just how it is. There's nothing you nor I can do about it.
As someone once put it,

Persistence is the ability to stick with something. If you practice the violin for over a year in order to play "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" perfectly, that's persistence! Persistence can also mean something that lasts for a very long time.

Also,

Persistence is continuing to try, an effect that continues even after the cause has been removed or something that sticks around for a long time. An example of persistence is when you try and try to learn a new skill, never giving up.

You must be persistent if you ever want to achieve anything worthwhile in life.

Reasons why persistency is important

When one is persistent, he is sure to achieve anything he sets his mind to achieve. And I say anything. Why? Because of the next reason...

#2. The passion of a persistent person can withstand any opposition:
When you meet a persistent person, you have just meet someone who cannot be resisted. Nothing can stop him from achieving success because he is persist

#3. Persistency is one major key in your day to day activities:
As you go about the day's job at work or home, you need a handful of persistency to get things done. It's so important to people's lives.

#1. Jim Carrey was booed off stage
It was his first comic stand-up at Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Club in Toronto, when Jim Carrey presented his impersonations and was booed off stage. In 1980, he auditioned for Saturday Night Live and was rejected. Carrey didn’t give up on his passion to make people laugh and he persisted to become one of the world’s highest paid actors and most famous comedians.
#2. Eminem struggled with bullying, drugs, poverty and lack of education
He was a high school dropout who persisted beyond the drugs and bullying and early rejection of his father: Marshall Bruce Mathers III aka Eminem is an American rapper and record producer, ranked by Rolling Stone magazine as one of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, and winner of 13 Grammy Awards!
#3. Kathryn Stockett was rejected by 60 literary agents
Kathryn Stockett is the author of “The Help”, which has sold over ten million copies and was turned into a movie.
Stockett spent five years writing the novel and was persistent in spite of being rejected by 60 literary agents before agent Susan Ramer agreed to represent her.
